This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 12, 2007:
improving the condition of the physical world that we live in.
Never in my life did I conceive of an ocean that is too dirty to swim in; but that's often a reality in the Pacific off Santa Monica beach.
And what really pains me is that so many people are so unaware. It's as if personal responsibility means nothing. If EVERYONE took small simple steps- even not so small, not so simple- is that really such a sacrifice to see blue skies, preserve the arctic and entire animal species, have trees? Use both sides of the paper when printing, unplug electronics not in use, switch to compact flourescents, walk a few blocks- and watch, watch the difference it makes.
(and congrats to Al Gore on winning the Nobel)
